I met Melissa at her family home late morning, it was a very civilised morning with her and her mother as they had their hair styled. Holme Pierrepont Hall is an incredible venue with it's own church. Melissa and David had their ceremony here before everyone wandered over to the hall for some awesome, if slightly different canapes. Think donuts, shortbread and chocolate dipped strawberries! There was also an amazing caricaturist who had everyone in stitches.

It rained for a substantial part of the afternoon which very nearly changed our plans to have some awesome portraits in the garden, but we shuffled a few things around and amazingly, just in time the sun popped out for about 20 minutes and we took full advantage before the wedding breakfast.

After the wedding breakfast Melissa had a surprise change of dress which Dave knew nothing about. Sneaky! She had a quick change before three excellent speeches, Melissa’s Dad, Dave then the best woman. Their first dance was immediately followed by an amazing evening party, loads of dancing, live music and glow sticks followed by a few late night portraits in the garden and a special request for an epic bridal party group shot which we did surrounding the fire in the quiet lounge of of the hall. A beautiful day, even if it was a little bit wet!
