Megan and Alex at Brills Farm
What can I say...Megan and Alex, what a day! We started off at Megan's family home in Bassingham, Lincolnshire where we had a very relaxed morning of hair, makeup, champagne and breakfast. There were people everywhere, honestly, so many friends, family, babies, husbands and even neighbours & villagers wandering around getting in on the action. Highly entertaining to be part of, clearly the Jones' are a very popular family and it wasn't hard to see why with their hospitality. Dad in charge of breakfast, Mum in charge of Champagne, the girls getting very excited whilst having hair and makeup done.
The ceremony was early afternoon at their local church in Bassingham and after rather a lot of confetti everyone took a coach 15 minutes down the road towards Norton Disney to Brills Farm. These guys only host 6 weddings a year, and it was a privilege to shoot here with it's amazing views over the Lincolnshire countryside. Next to the old farm house they had a tipi style marquee for their reception which was completely styled themselves. Megan had her whole family on the decorations over the last few months, and it looked amazing. The weather was so warm that the sides were up all day and night. Perfect!
My favourite bits from the day: Megan and the tambourine, Alex pulling a mooney, bridesmaids in the garden, general dance floor carnage, friends by the barn, Alex and Megan at sunset, the couple grinding on the dance floor, Megan hitting the hip flask (she didn't like it), the guy who fell asleep on the dance floor and finally the cigars.
