Matthew and Justin’s CITY CENTRE WEDDING
Throw the wedding text book out the window and start again! This was a totally unique wedding day with Matt & Justin. They live in the city and wanted their pre wedding shoot done in the choas of city centre Notts. It resulted in a great collection of photographs in an urban environment with a slightly edgy feel. We love them. Their wedding day was also in the city centre. Starting off at the Lace Market Hotel. I met them already suited and booted and we spent an hour or two around the city getting a few portraits and enjoying some Outpost Coffee. Slowly making our way over to World Service for lunch with friends and family.
After lunch we headed straight over to the council house for the ceremony at 4pm. Town was busy, a Saturday in August meant there were people everywhere! Shopping, drinking, eating, on the beach... everywhere! The cermony, like Matt and Justin, was completely fuss free, they walked in together, giddy with excitement but very casually, in fact no-one knew they were coming in until they were almost at the front of the aisle. Of course when everyone clocked them they went crazy with applause.
After the ceremony all the guests made their way up to Cobden Chambers just off Pelham Street for the reception at 'Think'. The rest of the afternoon was spent drinking wine and beer outside in the glorious sunshine, DJ playing summer chill and Think putting on some amazing food. The atmosphere was very chilled, relaxed but extremely fun, maybe even a little bit silly (there's always some silliness). Despite their unique approach to their wedding day, there was a cutting of the cake and first dance, but not before they delivered a superb joint speech. The great thing about Cobden Chambers is that it was exclusive so we had the whole outdoor space to ourselves on a Saturday night in the city centre. A great day! Congratulations again Matt & Justin!
