 ASWARBY RECTORY IN SPRINGTIME

I’m humbled that Krissy and Rob found me through a recommendation from their friends’ wedding. That’s amazing, and it was nice to see a few familiar faces from last year. Thank you!

Krissy and Rob are perfectly suited, both insanely laid back, and totally smitten with each other. When I arrived to Aswarby Rectory in the morning, Rob and his mate Andy were casually wandering the grounds, enjoying the amazing sunshine of late March. Krissy with her Sister, friend and Mum spent a morning of hair & makeup chillin’ in the Bridal suite with bright sunshine pouring in through the windows, lighting up the room in a way that makes you feel like it’s the height of Summer.

Aswarby Rectory is incredible, if you’re looking at getting married, give them a call for a viewing, the space is amazing. Donna and Richard have converted this old place over the last two years and restored it with class and countryside charm. Check it out here.

Their ceremony was in the church, a 3 minute walk through a wooded walk - and immediately after, Krissy, Rob and their guests wandered in the sun back to the Rectory for beautiful canapes, prosecco and beers on the lawn. They opted to go for speeches before the wedding breakfast which is a good move if you want to get them ‘out the way’. We had four speeches, Krissy’s Dad and mum, then Rob and finally Rob’s best man Jonny (his older bro) was hilarious and had the whole room in stitches.

In the evening, fire pits kept people warm outside, and inside the DJ kept the dance floor busy with Samantha Jade Sax at his side. Samantha is an amazing improv saxophonist who jams along with the DJ to create an amazing Ibiza vibe on the dance floor, and she’s incredibly versatile too, so she’ll play along with anything from chart pop to club classics, highly recommended to get everyone fired up for the party!

The first day of the year with some proper sunshine, a very special celebration - Congratulations Krissy & Rob!
