JILL & IAN IN LOVE AT LANGAR
Langar Hall has always been a favourite place of mine, I've been dining there for years and feel like I know the place really well. When I met Jill and Ian in the Autumn of 2017 I was delighted when they told me they were to tie the knot there! The food is incredible and has been for years with Ross and Gary running the kitchen and the house itself oozes history and class yet it presents itself in such a way that you know you can have some fun there. It's not remotely stuffy, the staff are awesome, Lisa knows how to organise a wedding party and the gardens are always immaculate.
We spent the morning in the Edwards room, the largest bedroom with a four poster bed and a view out to the front gardens and all the lambs, Jill with her daughter in law and daughter in law to-be. Very relaxed indeed, I would say civilised but there was a fair amount of banter, especially when Jill's mum entered the party! Ian was also getting ready at Langar so I was able to nip over to see him when Jill put on her dress.
The ceremony was held in the main dining room and there were just over 50 guests. Of course there was an amazing string trio, Simply Strings as Jill walked into the ceremony, given away by her mum. There were two readings, both by children, which was emotional and after exiting to some more strings it wasn't long before the confetti and the celebrations started! The wedding breakfast was incredible - lobster ravioli to start, fillet of beef for main and summer berry pavlova for dessert. As good as it sounds, if not better!
After dinner there were some very enjoyable speeches from Jill's mother, sons and the main man Ian himself we were even treated to an impromptu speech from Jill too! All followed by a first dance and live entertainment from the Richie Muir Band and some epic fireworks by Galaxy. It was an incredibly clear evening and Langar looked amazing under the stars. What a pleasure to be part of your celebrations, a wonderful group of family and friends.
