Claire & Ashoak’s Fusion Wedding

There's no wonder why The West Mill is an award winning venue. It's quirky, it's rustic, it's original, it's fun and the lighting is simply awesome. Set on the banks of the River Derwent in Derbyshire there's endless possibilities with how to use this venue.

Claire and Ash held an stunning fusion wedding in December 2017 which brought their guests not only a morning civil ceremony, but also a later afternoon Hindu Ceremony too. Lots and lots to capture on a day like this! Claire started her day with her girls at Kedleston Country House and that's where I met her. After some morning banter and some gift opening, we headed to The West Mill for the late morning civil ceremony. Shortly after the civil we captured some great group shots as well as some lovely natural light ones with Claire and Ash too. Speeches were done before the meal - good shout! Get rid of the pressure before you eat!! 

There was an hour after the meal for the guests to mingle and have a game of Carrom, then late afternoon / early evening we held the Hindu Ceremony on the top floor of the mill. A few group photos later and we found ourselves hard into the evening party!
