Rachel & Adam tie the knot at Swancar Farm - and man was there a party!
I met Adam and Rachel well over a year ago at a Save the Date Wedding Fair. They invited me over to discuss some options so I went to visit them at their home in North Notts to talk about the plans for the big day. Since our first meeting the wedding came around so quickly, which is often the case actually.
What I love about Adam and Rachel is that they were so open to ideas with their film. They fully trusted us to capture it in the best way we could but they took the time to make those personal vows and practice them so they are delivered perfectly and with great sincerity (and humour). Personal vows make for great narrative through their highlight film as you'll see when you watch it.
The morning was spent at Swancar with Rachel's army of bridesmaids. So much fun, bubbles galore, Whitney Houston, Fleetwood Mac and personal gifts to each other. Adam and the boys (complete with personal hip flasks) getting involved in the pre ceremony banter too as the girls watched out the window from the bridal suite.
The ceremony was also something very special, there were a series of different readings from their friends, including poems and song lyrics but what really stole the show was their personal vows to each other. In fact, half the room were in tears, I don't know how her bridesmaids held it together to do their joint reading straight after them. But they did, and they nailed it.
Rachel's Dad Steve, aka Father of the Bride, aka F.O.B as he liked to tell everyone, was legendary in his speech, pure comedy gold and a little awkwardness for Adam, but that's the way it should be! Two other excellently delivered speeches, one from Adam and the other from his joint best men who told stories that had Adam head in hands as he sat close to his mother and next to his new wife. They have been a lot of fun to edit and I've enjoyed sending them some snippets as I've gone through all the footage.
After dinner they planned an epic party, with Phil Rostance and the Marshall Band at the Helm. Amazing music that had literally everyone on the dance floor. Just watch it and you'll see...!
Congratulations again Rachel & Adam!
