Dan Lambourne Wedding Films
AN INTERESTING THOUGHT
Wedding cinematography takes considerably more equipment, processing power and time to produce than most wedding photography, a typical wedding photography session might result in 60-70GB of raw images. A single wedding Short Film takes closer to 350GB and you often have three cameras on the same subject which means a longer workflow in post production.
What happens on the day?
Before your wedding day, Dan, that's me, will arrange to meet you both to plan exactly what you want from your film. You’ll most probably have a running order with your venue and so I'll use that as a starting point. Once we’ve worked out the day’s schedule I work around you. I hope that you share the same love for film and cinema that I do and if you would like specific shots filmed, let me know. I love it when I get to spend a bit of time with you both together, normally at a similar time to the photographer. Around sunset is best. If you love films but would rather a more natural look with less “planned / posed” shots - that’s fine, you could ignore us all day and we would still capture all the details.
Are the Cameras Intrusive?
Not at all. We actually record all our digital films using compact cinema cameras or DSLRs. In fact, it's not uncommon to be mistaken for a photographer.
How do you record audio?
Good quality audio is vital. I use a combination of microphones on the day in the interest of capturing different things. During the ceremony and speeches we use high quality discrete Lavalier microphones on the bride or groom, best man or Ceremony spokesperson. During the rest of the day we use a couple of “On Camera” mics better designed to capture background audio such as during bridal preparations
When will we see the finished product?
Depending on which package you choose and your chosen ‘add ons’ the finished package will be delivered to you as soon as possible but in any case before your two month anniversary. You can purchase a priority order which gets you everything in three weeks
Are you Insured?
I carry full public liability insurance for your peace of mind. On top of this I am CAA approved and licenced to fly a drone.
I love this song... can you please use it in our film?
We are unable to use any song without the correct licence. We use sites such as "Musicbed" to select suitable tracks for your film. The musicbed has an app, if you find a track you like let us know and we’ll do everything we can to include it.
Which areas do you cover?
Being based in the midlands means we can easily cover all mainland UK destinations. There may be a small charge for locations over 100 miles away, but it’s just to cover costs and no more...
