Elvaston Castle - Engagement Shoot
This was my first visit to Elvaston Castle and Country Park, in Derbyshire and certainly not my last. I chose the location on this pre wedding shoot as Claire and Ash were happy for me to take the lead. This is an amazing place to visit if you're into walking or nice outings with family, or if you have kids. There's tonnes of woodlands and forest to explore and a beautiful lake to walk around. The impressive castle requires some restoration and as a result isn't used for much. It houses a nice little cafe, which worked well for us as it gave us a break to finalise the timings of the wedding day as well a refuel with coffee & cake.
It's run by the National Trust so you pay for car parking then run around as much or as little as you like. Definitely worth a visit in the summer time. We spent an hour wandering and getting lost and every direction I looked I saw another great photograph location. Lots of green and autumnal colours in this collection. Their wedding will be held on 16th December at The West Mill in Derby and I'll post some of my favourites here early in 2018.
