Hayley & Bill
Kelham Country House blends an old Edwardian manor house with a fresh, stylish and contemporary interior. Solid wood floors, tall ceilings and a large garden make this venue something rather special. Hayley started her day in the bridal dressing room at Kelham with her entourage of bridesmaids. Bill and the boys made their entrance about an hour before the ceremony so they could greet all their guests (and maybe have a beer to steady the nerves).
The start of the ceremony saw the bridal party walk in in pairs, adults, kids, babies all made their way in, down the aisle, Bill’s son charging down the aisle when he saw his Dad, and this set the tone of the day really - It was very much a family celebration, and everyone was welcome. I love it when children walk down the aisle, the unpredictability of it is highly entertaining.
Unfortunately there wasn’t much sunshine but it was still warm enough for everyone to enjoy the terrace throughout the afternoon drinks reception. We spent some time before the wedding breakfast capturing a few family photos and making some couple portraits and after dinner they held an awesome party which involved Bill and Hayley dancing their heart out to Toto’s Africa, someone falling over on the dance floor, only to be sat on by a couple of bridesmaids, everyone dancing to a little drum n bass and oh yeah, all the groomsmen hitting the late night cigars. We finished the evening by making a couple of late night evening portraits too, and why not. Congratulations Hayley and Bill…A wonderful celebration!
