Adam and Charmaine's Summertime wedding at The Nottinghamshire
What an awesome day! Charmaine, her family and friends chilling in The Residence at The Nottinghamshire all morning whilst Adam and his groomsmen were at home getting ready. The Residence at The Nottinghamshire is a lovely little boutique hotel, perfect for staying the nights before and after the wedding. No wedding morning is the same without bubbles so as you'd expect, Adam sent over a bottle of 'Bolli' for the ladies to enjoy whilst getting their hair and makeup done.
Have you ever been to a wedding where there are strict dance floor rules? I'm not talking about a cèilidh, I'm talking about firm rules which set the tone of the evening. Let's just skip the ceremony bit for one second, I'll come back to that, but rules like: "Epic knee slides are compulsary" and "Dance offs should take place often" as well as "The dance floor must be occupied at all times" are bound to cause some carnage from the start of the evening. Richie Muir and his band rocked the party and as we all know, a party isn't a party without the cereal box game. You know, the one where you have to pick it up from the floor with your mouth without your hands touching the ground. Not played it before? Not played it in a wedding dress before? Well Charmaine has, and she's shit hot at it.
Going back to the ceremony, after the bridal party entered, and Adam wiped the tears from his eyes all the guests joined together in the singing of "Nobody does it better" by Carly Simon. A rather unexpected yet brilliant way to get everyone in the mood. Adam's Son Isaac was the ring bearer and their youngest, Cara, tried her best to distract them with her cuteness throughout the ceremony.
My Favourite bits: Little Cara helping with the shoes, the first kiss, Michelle drinking Bolli from the bottle, the wedding speech sweepstake, Cara's photo bombing ability, the umbrella at sunset, granny dancing on the terrace, epic knee slides, the poor lad who tried too hard at the cereal box game. Enjoy!
