Hitting the streets
Matthew & Justin are getting married in early August, both the ceremony and reception are city centre which is awesome. I'm really looking forward to capturing their wedding as it presents so many different artistic portrait opportunities. These guys are ace, so relaxed, and happy giving me all the freedom I want to capture them in the city, however I want to. That's a great feeling, being told to just do what you want, we're trusting you to do your thing.
With it being so urban, it seemed obvious to me to approach the shoot with a street photography vibe. Very natural photographs with an appreciation of the traffic, architecture, lighting, alleyways, wall textures, and the public. We started off at the castle, headed past World Service where they're having their pre ceremony meal, then up into the Old Market Square, up Pelham Street and across into the Lace Market. As you'd expect, we finished off in Junkyard on Bridlesmith Walk, just because we all like beer in the sunshine. Serious belter of a day, relentless sunshine, so we were ready for that drink!
Let me know what you think and keep an eye out for the wedding next month!
